WINNSBORO — The Fairfield Central baseball team tightened its grip on the number two spot in region III-AA when they dismantled the Keenan Raiders 15-7 on Tuesday.With the win, Fairfield is now 5-2 in region play.The Griffins combined for 12 hits led by their lead off hitter Tavaris Cook.“We hit the ball pretty well and he (T. Cook) has been on tear,” Fairfield Central head coach Scotty Dean said.Cook finished 3-4 at plate, scored four runs and stole five bases.As a team, Fairfield Central combined for 10 stolen bases.On the mound, Compton Walker pitched five innings and allowed five runs on three hits, eight walks and struck out eight.
