UNION — The Fairfield Central Griffins remained undefeated Friday night with a convincing 35-11 win over the Yellow Jackets of Union County.
Fairfield led 15-3 at the half, but in the third quarter they capitalized off three interceptions to score three touchdowns on the ensuing drives.
The offensive player of the game was Griffins running back Larry G. Bell. Bell rushed for 108 yards and three touchdowns.
After the game head Demetrius Davis was pleased with his team’s performance.
“Union is a good football team,” he noted. “But we (Fairfield Central) have so many weapons on offense and it really forces opponents to pick their poison.”
With the win the Griffins improved to 4-0 and they will host Cheraw on Sept. 27.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
