Police Department gets new cruiser

WINNSBORO — The Town of Winnsboro held its Town Council and Monthly Finance meetings Tuesday, but the most exciting moment of the evening came in between the two meetings.Police Chief Freddie Lorick and a brand new police car visited Town Hall.“We’re excited,” Lorick said. “We’re hoping to get the car on the road very soon.”Lorick said the new police car should be one of six 2015 Ford Police Interceptors, which will replace several older Ford Crown Victorias, which saw roughly a decade of service.“We’ll phase them out,” Lorick said. “They’re sold at auction.”
