WINNSBORO — Honeysuckle Acres was host to the Midlands Blue Society for the first Blues Picnic held Sunday at the bed and breakfast from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Harold and Pat Frisch have owned Honeysuckle Acres since 2002 and had a good time at the first Blues Picnic.

“The music is fantastic,” Pat noted. “And we have been so lucky that the rain has stayed away. Its been a beautiful day for this event.”

With over 120 members, the Midlands Blues Society provided the performers and president Chef Barry “Fatback” Walker was impressed with the turnout and feedback.

“We just formed the Blues Society in November of last year and I’ve enjoyed every moment of it,” Walker said. “We’re just out here jamming and having a great time.”
