RIDGEWAY — This year at its annual Founder’s Day Picnic UPAC Tanglewood recognized a few changes taking place at the nursing home and rehabilitative facility, starting with its name.
The UHS-Pruitt Corporation, which owns the Ridgeway facility, is changing its name to PruittHealth, effective Jan. 1, 2014.
Neil Pruitt Jr., chairman and CEO of UHS-Pruitt Corporation, said this is “an exciting time for the company. With a stronger, more unified brand, we will drive more people to identify that we are leading the market in delivery of holistic care, quality customer service and streamlined programming.”
This change comes after 44 years of providing medical service and rehabilitative care.
Staff members were recognized with an employee picnic prior to hearing a message from Pruitt via conference call on Aug. 26.
The recognition was part of Founder’s Day, a time of reflection where the family of providers to reflects on its humble beginnings — what was once a single nursing home in Toccoa, Ga., has grown into an organization that is privileged to care for more than 24,000 patients though its advanced model of care offerings.
Unihealth Post Acute Care of Tanglewood is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center that is comprised of health care professionals who are tasked with providing quality services and demonstrating a strong commitment to caring for their patients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Founder’s Day is a chance to shine a spotlight on these everyday heroes who may be often times overlooked.
Each year the UHS-Pruitt Corporation family of health care providers celebrates a history that spans nearly half a century, as they honor caregivers, team members, past leaders, and patients through Founder’s Day celebrations. It is a time for reflection and an opportunity for the provider to thank its employees, volunteers, and customers for their contribution to the delivery of quality health care services.
