FAIRFIELD COUNTY — Fairfield Magnet School for Math and Science raked in 12 wins at the S.C. State Fair.

“Out of all schools in South Carolina competing, our students did amazingly well,” said art teacher Kimi Daly. “This is our best year ever with Marteyia Gadsen winning first place best in show over all kindergarten through fifth graders at the State Fair.”

Gadsen received $85 and a blue ribbon. Her artwork will be displayed at the front of the art exhibit in the student section. Five other FMSMS artists placed first, second and third place overall in their respective categories. Six other students won Honorable Mentions.
