Festive Season opens at Fairfield County Museum

WINNSBORO — The Fairfield County Museum will hold its annual Open House Christmas Party from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 8 Party at 231 S. Congress St. The 1830 Museum building will be decorated for the season in period fashions by the ladies of several partnering garden clubs.


The Fairfield County Historical Society and the Fairfield County Genealogical Chapter will provide refreshments. Local musicians performing include the Johnson Family String Quartet; Brian Ogburn on Scottish bagpipes and silver flute; vocalist Kerry Matthews and piano accompanist Laurens Livings; trumpet duettists Hal and Aaron Frish; the Halfway There quartet with Lynne Douglass, Susan Miller, Jeanie Roundy, and Beth McFadden; sing along carols with pianist Susan Mclane on the 1854 square Rosewood piano; along with some other seasonal performances.
