The summer for most youth is about spending time with friends, sleeping late and relaxing.

But the Catalyst Youth Ministry of the First Church of the Nazarene take a week out of their summer to do mission projects in the community.

The week of service entitled ISERVE includes various services like painting, gardening, house repairs, making cards for hospitals patients, cutting grass and hosting a senior dinner.

After the week of community service the youth feel good about the help they have given back to the community.

This has become a part of their summer plans now and it gives them a great feeling to come back, look around their church and community, and know they had a hand in making a difference.
