Customers as well as employees said farewell to Postmaster Emma Oliver on Tuesday during a drop in, in her honor.
Oliver will retire from the postal service on Tuesday after 34 years.
The day was also a time to welcome a new face to the post office, Kim Deese, interim postmaster.
Deese who is the postmaster of Wagner will be serving in the Winnsboro area until the position is awarded.
She is not a stranger to the area, because she started at in the area as a supervisor in 2005.
Deese has a total of 15 years with the postal service under her belt.
The post office is open Monday through Friday 10 a .m. - 1 p.m, 2 - 4 p.m., and Saturday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.
