District wears red for heart disease awareness

WINNSBORO — For more than a decade, The School District of Fairfield County has honored the shared stories of women who have been touched by heart disease. The keynote speaker for the annual District Office “Wear Red ” luncheon was Gervonder Brown, Executive Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools. Ms. Brown shared with the group her increased awareness of personal risk factors and empowered them to take healthier steps to reduce their risks of heart disease.
