The Fairfield County Genealogy Society ‘s next meeting will be Thursday, Aug. 16 at 11 a.m at Christ Central.
Members are planning to participate in the Blythewood/Winnsboro/Ridgeway 25-mile yard sale that will connect Blythewood, Ridgeway and Winnsboro.
During the meeting, members will be asked to help with this sale by donating items and volunteering.
This sale should bring traffic to businesses along the Highway 21 and 34 routes which runs right along the Museum’s front door.
It also will allow the museum to offer items for sale that are donated from attics, garages and storage sheds.
Donated antiques and other items will be sold.
Proceeds raised from this sale will go towards the purchase of a digital microfilm reader/printer ( cost is approximately $8,000.00.)
