The following reports were taken by the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office:

BLAIR

Jan. 5

Monterri Ladever Wright, 18, of 147 Dave Cole Road, Blair; Zackhary Danzell Rivers, 18, of 1725 Springwoods Lake Drive, Columbia; Clifton Rashad Hendrix, 21, of 239 Brooks Drive, Columbia; and Mercury Lamont Williamson, Jr. 19, of 531 Brooks Drive, Blair were arrested and charged with attempted armed robbery for approaching a subject sitting in a car and attempting to rob him of money that was in the truck. As the victim drove off, shots were fired at his vehicle.

RIDGEWAY

Jan. 5

A mailbox was vandalized off Center Creek Road.

WINNSBORO

Jan. 4

A stolen vehicle, a gray Pontiac was recovered in the woods off Highway 269.

Herbert James Workman, 48, of 123 Garden St., was arrested for driving suspiciously. After conducting a traffic stop, the responding officer learned Workman had no license and the case was turned over to the S.C. Highway Patrol to investigate. According to the incident report, Workman smelled of alcohol and an empty alcohol container and cups were found in the vehicle.

Disorderly conduct occurred during a fight between two males at the Gordon Odyssey Academy.

Jan. 5

A juvenile was assaulted multiple times and then threatened at the corner of Poplar and Fifth Street and also on Pine Street.

Jan. 7

The front door of a parsonage on S.C. 213 was kicked in.

A fight involving three female students occurred at Fairfield Middle School.

Jan. 8

Vandalism was reported to storage units on U.S. 321.

Jan. 9

A third degree assault was reported off Alder Road. The victim suffered lacerations, bruising and abrasions from the incident.

Jan. 11

John Henry Robinson, 17, of 280 Oak St., was arrested for disturbing the peace with regards to his coming around a residence on Birch Street making threats toward people and wanting to fight.

Destruction and vandalism of property was reported on 409 Paper Road.

Breaking and entering was reported off Victory Lane. Radios, a television and DVDS were among the items stolen.

All four tires of a car were slashed as it sat in the employee parking of Performance Fibers.

Jan. 12

Larceny of a cell phone was reported at Lamplighter Apartments.

Eugene Ashford, 47, of 58 Sunshine Drive was arrested for shoplifting from a business off U.S. 321 South. At that time other outstanding warrants were served on Ashford.

Jan. 13

Destruction of property was reported at a business on U.S. 321 South.
