WINNSBORO — The Fairfield Central High School Griffins hosted the first Breast Cancer Awareness Basketball Tournament over the holiday break.

The tournament drew in teams from South Carolina and Georgia from the following schools: CA Johnson, Swansea, Fairfield Central, Brookland Cayce, Camden, Orangeburg-Wilkinson, Allendale-Fairfax, Lancaster, Conway, Dutch Fork, Hammond, Miller Grove, Cedar Grove, and Blythewood.

The Lady Griffins made it to the final round, but came up short to Miller Grove High School out of Lithonia, Ga. The boys team ended their tournament play with a win over Camden 61-41.
