Kasey Erin Parris and Mackenzie Lee McCarty were married Saturday, March 3, 2012, at three in the afternoon at White Oak ARP Church in White Oak, S.C. Pastor Mark Chapman performed the ceremony. A reception followed at the Old Armory.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kent H. Parris of Winnsboro, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Betty A. Parris and the late Mr. P.E. Parris of Columbia and Mrs. Charlotte K. Mathis and the late Mr. David M. Mathis of Columbia. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Promotion from The College of Charleston. She is employed by Fairfield Medical Associates in Winnsboro, S.C.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Van McCarty of Lexington, S.C. He is the grandson of Mrs. Farris B. McCarty and the late Mr. Major V. McCarty of Saluda and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Perry of Columbia. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The Citadel. He is attending the University of South Carolina for his Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration. He is also employed at the William Jennings Bryan Dorn Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Morgan Elaine Mobley served as matron of honor and Lauren Ashley Pendergrass served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Allie Louise Cameron, Jordan Alexis Parris, Madelynn Watters McCarty, Shelly Renee Nichols and Sydney Lane Strickland.

The groom’s father served as best man. Serving as groomsmen were Robert Jeffery Gerth, Matthew Van McCarty, Micah Perry McCarty, Major Charles McCarty, Taylor Samuel Mode and Trevor Blain Martin. Ushering was Christopher Burns Mobley.

Following their honeymoon in Jamaica, they will reside in Columbia, S.C.
