On July 7 Fairfield County Sheriff’s officers responded to three burglary calls.

Two of the calls appear that they may be related, while a third call appears to be of a different nature.

The two incidents which may be related occurred at 263 Bowsan Lane and at 1935 Estes Lane in Winnsboro.

At Bowsan Lane, responding officers observed that the front door was open and appeared to have been kicked in.

The victim confirmed that her LCD 46-inch television was missing.

She reported being gone from her residence about 45 minutes during which the alleged theft occurred.

In the Estes Lane case, shoe prints were noted on the front door and force was used to gain entry to the residence.

A 32” television, gold watches, a coin counter, cash, clothing and a digital camera were among items the resident listed as stolen.

Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office Captain Brad Douglas with the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Department said that the two break-ins and thefts were similar to arrests they had made in the area in the past. As a result, the sheriff’s department is exploring connections with past cases.

The third case involved alleged theft of copper from a home at 2826 Highway 215 South in Jenkinsville.

The responding officer noted tearing above each switch and socket in the residence, in which no one lives in right now. There were no signs of forced entry in the case.

Investigators do not believe this incident relates to the other two cases.

All three burglaries remain under investigation.
