Not only is he a math teacher, but he also serves as defensive coordinator for the Fairfield Central High School football team.

Over the last 13 years of his career Toney has prided himself with building a relationship with students in the classroom and on and off the field.

He is honored to have be picked my his peers to serve as teacher of the year.

All his life he has wanted to be a teacher and coach.

This may stem from the fact that his great-grandmother, grandmother, aunts and cousin are all in education.

Toney and Franceseca Toney have two boys and one girl who started public school this year.

Toney shared,” I am hard working and passionate about the people and students. I enjoy middle school because the students are at a cross road of their lives.”
