NEWBERRY — Verda Mae Alexander, 95, of 834 Bess St., Newberry died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012 at her home.
She is the wife of the late Louis Alexander. She is a member of Old Beaverdam Baptist Church and she served on the usher board. She was also a member of the Women’s Home Aid Society Lodge No. 2.
She is survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Sept. 23 at 2 p.m. at Old Beaverdam Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
