WINNSBORO — The Richard Winn Lady Eagles soared back into the win column Tuesday night, defeating Oakbrook Prep 68-32.

The Eagles sank their talons into the visitors early. In fact, the girls tenacious defense found a lot of kinks in the Knights’ armor, as the visitors from Spartanburg did not score until four minutes had elapsed in the second quarter.

Junior Carson Justice led all scorers with 24 points, including going 4 of 10 from the three-point line. Justice also led the team with five assists and added three steals, five deflections, and six rebounds on the night.

Jessie Stidham nearly had a double double with nine points and eight rebounds. Anna Cooke led the team with 12 hustles. The win moves the Lady Eagles to 17-1 on the season and 3-0 in conference play.
