The annual Rock Around the Clock festival will take place in downtown Winnsboro on Friday and Saturday.
The festival will kick off on Friday, Oct. 5 with a rocking chair parade at 7 p.m. followed by stump speeches at 7:30 p.m. by local political candidates.
Following the speeches, stick around for the street dance and shagging contest.
Saturday morning the festivities begin at 10 a.m. with vendors, games, children amusements, food and craft exhibitors.
On Saturday their will also be a classic car and truck show, along with live music including Winnsboro’s own Reunion Bande performing at 1p.m.
