Rotarian Lori Schaeffer is Director of the Fairfield Recreation Department and offers Zumba, which is the latest craze in exercise. She had as her guest presenter at a recent Rotary program Liz Stillwell Adams. Adams works for Fairfield Electric Corporation in Blythewood and is also a Zumba instructor with Jenny & Company.
She had everyone’s attention as she shared her personal experience of losing a substantial amount of weight by doing Zumba on a regular basis. The classes at the Recreation Department sometimes number around 150 participants. Adams stated how Zumba had changed her life for the better. She said in addition to loosing the weight, she had much more energy and self esteem. She said women from 18 to 80-plus years of age are doing Zumba . “It will change your life,” Adams said with enthusiasm.
