UPDATE: Double murder reported off Highway 215

BLAIR — Law enforcement has apprehended a person of interest in a double homicide case off Highway 215 in Blair just beyond Salem Crossroads. According to Captain Brad Douglas with the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Department, a husband and wife Ruth Marion Mahorsky, 70, and Richard F. Mahorsky, 71, of 80 Highway 215 in Blair were the persons murdered. Douglas said a person of interest, their son Matthew Richard Mahorsky, age 40, is being held in custody. More information on this breaking story will be available as the situation warrants.
