WINNSBORO — The Richard Winn Lady Eagles pulled out a 4-3 victory Tuesday over Calhoun Academy. The Cavaliers (3-4) tagged Richard Winn starter Bailey Taylor with three earned runs and worked two walks against her, but she responded with an 11 strikeout 102 pitch effort, going all seven innings to pick up the w in.
She was 2-3 at the plate and scored two runs to help her cause on the mound. Other top hitters were Anna Connor 1-2 and Jordan Parris and Alyssa Atkerson who both went 1-3.
Anna Grey Walters walked twice and Megan Simpson walked once for the Eagles (4-1)
Richard Winn (4-1) played Spartanburg Christian Academy on the road Thursday night but results were not available at press time.
