WINNSBORO — As the 2012-2013 school year reaches its end, the Fairfield Career Center family wants to celebrate its departing seniors by recognizing their post-secondary commitments.
On May 16, the public is invited to the first Academic Signing Day Program, aptly entitled “Commitment Day 2013.”
The Commitment Day program will be held at the Fairfield Central High School Auditorium from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The program will highlight graduating seniors as they commit to their post-secondary goals. Students will be honored for military commitments, collegiate decisions and/or formally accepting life-wage job offers.
“We invite you to share in this special moment with these seniors as they enter into a covenant agreement to pursue excellence beyond high school,” Administrator Chris Dinkins said. “As we have supported, encouraged and pushed students for their high school careers, our goal is to develop an even stronger support system as they embark upon new challenges.”
The celebration is May 16.
