WINNSBORO — The Lady Griffins found a groove just before spring break, earning two victories in softball action. They got out to an early 8-0 first inning lead over the Columbia Capitals on Tuesday and then held on for the 15-11 victory. Leading hitters were Tyeisha Jackson with two doubles and Shontavia Robinson with a single, a triple and a homerun.
Triona Parnell pitched and picked up the win for a young squad. The Lady Griffins followed that contest up with a one run victory over the Eau Claire Shamrocks. FCHS pulled out a 6-5 win behind the hitting of Tyeisha Jackson and Daijah Gaither.
Jackson helped herself at the plate, as she was the pitcher for this game as well. She pitched solidly to earn the victory for FCHS.
The Lady Griffins next take the rubber at 6 p.m. against Keenan High School in varsity action on April 9.
