UPDATED: Candidates still in the election

Statewide there were 88 Republican candidates forced out of the race and 95 Democrats.

The rule states the candidates for the June primary and November election followed the laws in filing their Statement of Economic Interest forms on time, would be on the ballot and those not would not be allowed to run.

The filing deadline was March 15 at noon, and required candidates to file the SEI at the same time they filed to run for office.

However, there are legislators and other appealing the ruling.

The candidates that will be on the ballott in Fairfield County are:

Democratics

William Gray - House District #41

Bob Carrison - Senate District #17

Republicans

Dorothy Boyd Belton - Clerk of Court

Will Montgomery - Sheriff

Annie E. McDaniel - State Representative #41

Barkley Ramsey - Cororner

Betty Jo Beckham - Clerk of Court

Creighton Coleman - Senate District #17

Herman W. Young - Sheriff

Mary Gail Douglas - State Representative #41

Eddie L Whilte - Sheriff

Eugene Sutton - State Representative #41

Paul Dove - State Representative #41

Palmer Nicholson - State Representative #41

This article leaves me very confused. Correct if I am wrong, but aren't the republican and democrat candidates backwards? Also, what "rule" are you talking about?

This is so poorly written-hope this isn't what we have to look forward to with a new staff. Plus, if quality matters at all-the "writer" has the parties and their candidates switched...

Gees only in Fairfield County. After reading the information above it looks like the Democrats and Republicans have switched Parties. The Democrats will never go Back, everyone eventually comes around.
