WINNSBORO — The Lady Griffins of Fairfield Central came up short Tuesday night against North Central in softball action by a 14-9 score.

Once again they trotted Triona Parnell out onto the mound but this time she was unable to keep the score close enough for her teammates to pick her up and get the win.

Leading hitters for the Lady Griffins were Tyeisha Trapp, double, single; Katelyn Haney, four walks; Daijah Gaither with a single; Sontavia Robinson with a triple; Triona Parnell with a triple and double; A’Kierrah Marshall with two singles; Tyeisha Jackson with a single; Bre Coad with a double; and Valerie Keller with two singles.

The Lady Griffins looked to get back in the win column in a home game with Lewisville on Thursday starting with JV action at 5 p.m.
