Surveyor Mike Mills recently noticed a few rare visitors to Fairfield County.  A pair of white pelicans were on Lake Monticello.The white pelicans which have a normal range of Mississippi river and west to the Pacific and along the Gulf coast. 
"Apparently the winter storms blew them in, Mills said. "Occasionally we see unusual birds on the Lake such as snow geese and swans that are not typical to the area."
