WINNSBORO — Spartanburg Christian Academy trounced a young Richard Winn Eagles softball team 12-0 Tuesday evening. Though the girls came up on the short end of this one, Coach Retta Taylor likes what this 8-3 team has shown her this year in terms of competitiveness, hustle and heart.

The Eagles defeated Heathwood Hall 11-5. RWA overcame five errors in the contest and managed to generate a lot of offense despite leaving seven men on base. Junior Jason Branham pitched five innings for the Eagles, giving up four runs, none of which were earned.
