I would hope each of you got through Halloween without too many tricks. It seems the various churches have plenty of treats for the children and I agree that is a nice way to celebrate. I had only one little ghost or goblin and that was my own little grand son, Scotty.

Scotty wound up at the Lebanon PCA party and had a ball. I hear there is no use to have anyone compete with Myrtle Jones for the apple peeling contest. She is the champion there. Then the bubble gum blowing contest is fun and bobbing for apples.

The church activities are really a good thing - Some churches load the trunks of their cars with goodies and let the children come up and make their choices.

The weather is so beautiful - cool and crisp - and I am really amazed at the amount of Fall Foliage that is still on the trees. We did lose a lot of the leaves to the drought but I have a gorgeous maple tree in my yard.

While, it is too close to the garage to show it's complete beauty it is

still lovely.

Lola Dove and her son Paul, Jr. attended the Roberts family reunion at the lovely home of Mr. John E. Roberts in Halsellville, located in Chester County, on Sunday.

So nice to have Jacob and Kyle hit up at home together. While they live together in an apartment in Clemson, there is no place like home with Mom and Dad, Deborah and Steve Gantt, and to use their washer and dryer and eat their good cooking, as they do their own cooking in Clemson, and really they don't see that much of each other as Jacob is working and Kyle is still in school.

Thought for the week-"Those who sing their own praises seldom receive an encore".
