Ridgeway council election is April 8

Four candidates have filed for the two open Ridgeway Town Council seats. The election will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2008. Polling place will be the Ridgeway Fire Department. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Candidates for the council seats are:

  • Heath Cookendorfer, 155 N. Palmer Street, has served on the Zoning Board of Appeals, and was a Pig on the Ridge Booth judge. He is a chef at the State Warehouse

  • Rufus Jones, 305 W. Third Street. Jones was Mayor of Ridgeway 2002-2006, a Town Council member 1998-2002, and served on the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce Board. He is owner of Jones Construction.

  • Robin Kinard, 235 N. Valencia Rd. She has served a s a Town Council member 2007-2008, chair of the Economic and Recreation committees, served on the Zoning Board. She is a Nurse Investigator with the Veterans Administration.

  • Donald Prioleau, 170 N. Coleman St. Prioleau served on Town Council from 200-2004 and 2004-2008, Pig on the Ridge Committee 1998-2007, Special Projects chair, and Town Renovation Committee. He is a truck driver.
