The Lord is so good to us in so many ways. We were so thankful that the storms passed us over last week and we only had the wonderful showers to be thankful for.

Let us hope for a better summer than last year. We are certainly paying for the dry summer with the price of groceries. I hope the farmers are getting a cut out of these prices.

Cindy Berley, Deborah Gantt and Kay Hensley attended a four day Councilfor Exceptional Children conference in Spartanburg, last week.

Betty and Jack Robertson enjoyed a "drop in" visit from Jack's niece, Barbara and her husband, Dan Gibson, of Savannah, Georgia. They were up to attend a family wedding on Saturday.

Margaret Sanders enjoyed several day's visit from her daughter, Dr. Sally Fuller of Raleigh, North Carolina. They just enjoyed a quiet time plus working on income taxes. Believe it or not but it is that time of the year again.

Thought for the week - "To be the happiest you must forget self."
