Funeral services for Willie Mae Edwards Glover, 91, of Winnsboro, were held on Sunday, April 27, 2008 at 3 p.m. at Blackjack Baptist Church. The Rev. Randolph Glover, pastor of Fairview Baptist Church, officiated. Pallbearers were grandsons and great-grandsons. Flower bearers were granddaughters and great-granddaughters. Mrs. Glover died on April 21, 2008.
Born in Winnsboro on August 19, 1916, a daughter of the late Wayven and Bertha Edwards. She was a member of Blackjack Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons, Willie Glover, Jr. (Jessie) of Winnsboro and Moses Glover (Margaret) of Baltimore, MD; daughter, Brenda Glover Delly of Brooklyn, NY; and adopted daughter, Shirley Cain of Winnsboro; brother, Matthew Edwards of Baltimore, MD; two daughter-in-laws, Inez Glover of Winnsboro and Jean Mae Glover of Richmond, CA; 21 grandchildren; 39 great-grands; one great-great grandchild, four special friends, Mrs. Mary Lynn Kinley, William and Ruth Dove and Lillian “Pat” Young, all of Winnsboro; a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Glover, Sr., two daughters, Betty Anderson and Janice Lee Manning and three sons, Isiah, James and Frazell Glover.
Glover’s Memorial Chapel served the Glover family.
