Junior Achievement at Fairfield Central High School donated $5,500 of its money to two agencies and a scholarship program.
Fairfield Behavioral Health Services received $2,500. Youth Options under Teen Health received $2,500 and a Fairfield Central High School scholarship program received $500.
Community consultants William ?J. Howard and Bob Drake, both from Community Resource Bank, received certificates of appreciation for the help they gave the students during the school year.
“I?am very proud of what you have accomplished and I want to thank you for letting us be a part of it,” Howard told the students.
JA Worldwide is the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs.
With the aid of a teacher / advisor and a community consultant, the students form a company, decide on a product to make and market that product.
Pariss Waters served as CEO of the JA company, which produced buttons. Megan Kennedy was vice president and Rachael Jackson was secretary.
Pedro Ramirez, Randell Bell and Jacob Branham made up the Production Department of the company, while Bobby Brisbon, Cha - La’ K. Hall and Brittany Belton served in the Human Resources Department.
The Marketing Department was composed of Kendra Crumblin, David Squirewell, Jylesia Crockrel and Eliot Qualls. The Finance Department was composed of Shakwana Woodard, Jalesia Roach, Jalicia Woodard and Kayla Feaster.
William Martin serves as advisor to the FCHS JA.
