The Fairfield County School Board of Trustees will host a candidate forum Wednesday night at the Fairfield Central High School Auditorium.

The event is set for 6:30 p.m. Candidates who have agreed to participate are House District 41 candidates Boyd Brown and Annie McDaniel and Senate District 17 candidates Leah Moody and Michael Squirewell. Senate candidate Creighton Coleman is unavailable to participate.

In a letter to the candidates, Fairfield County Superintendent of Education Dr. Samantha Ingram wrote, “Our goal in sponsoring this forum is to give all candidates an opportunity to express their views on a subject of particular interest to our community - public education. The meeting format will afford school board members and local citizens a chance to ask the candidates questions on this and other key issues.”

Both the Democratic and the Republican primaries are scheduled for June 10.
