Funeral services for Helen “Jane” Holmes, 73, of Winnsboro, were held on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Wells of Living Waters Outreach Ministries. Services were officiated by Apostle Victoria A. Owens, Minister.
Pallbearers and floral bearers were family and friends.
Mrs. Holmes died on July 13, 2008.
A native of Fairfield County, she was born on January 25, 1935, a daughter of the late Walter and Clora McClinton Holmes.
She was a child care giver and a member of Wells of Living Waters Outreach Ministries.
Survivors include daughter, Crise Ann Holmes of the home, a son, Paul (Gwendolyn) Holmes of Winnsboro; great-niece Regina (Davis) Anderson of Winnsboro; grand-daughter, Tonya (Derrick) Jones of Blythewood; great-grandson, James A.R. Holmes of Columbia; sisters, Geneva Bagley of Ridgeway, Clora (Cora) Ford of Winnsboro; brother, Eddie Holmes of Rochester, N.Y.; sister-in-law, Julia Holmes of Trenton, N.J.; nine grandchildren, Paul D. (LaWanda) Holmes of Ridgeway, Tarace (Melissa) Holmes of Clinton, TX, Tarshish Holmes of Winnsboro, LaShonda Holmes of Charleston, Paul Holmes and Cobe Holmes, both of Winnsboro, Davis Anderson, Jr. and Davon Anderson, of Winnsboro; eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Janice Holmes and brothers, Samuel Ernest, Thomas and Walter Holmes; stepbrother, John Gayden; sisters, Hattie Davis and Glossiel Abrams, and stepsister, Martha Thompson.
