Funeral services for Terry Lee Davis, Jr., 64, of Winnsboro, were held on Friday, September 5, 2008 at 3 p.m. at Shiloh Presbyterian Church, officiated by Dr. Robert Scotland. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were cousins; floral attendants were nieces.

Mr. Davis died on August 31, 2008.

A native of Winnsboro, he was born on July 30, 1944 a son of Mae Nolia and the late Terry Lee Davis, Sr.

He was a member of the graduating class of 1962 of the Fairfield County Schools. After graduating, he moved to Hartford, Connecticut where he was employed at Aetna Insurance Company. In July 1965 he joined the U.S. Army where he served in the Vietnam War. He retired from the Veneer Plant in Winnsboro, SC where he was a supervisor over 20 years.

He was a loving grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church. He left to cherish his precious memories: three daughters Lisa Davis of Charlotte, North Carolina, Terrie (Michael) Gupton of Hartford, CT, Sherri Milling of Winnsboro, South Carolina; mother Mae Nolia Davis; seven grandchildren Jameika and Alazia Thompson, Ashanti Meyers all of Winnsboro, South Carolina, Aaron and Brenden Johnson of Charlotte, North Carolina, Kiara and Payton Gupton of Hartford CT; five brothers George

(Blanche), Robert (Bobbie) and Richard Davis all of Winnsboro, South Carolina, Lawrence (Minnie) Davis of Charlotte, North Carolina, Charles (Pam) Davis of Wichita Kansas; four aunts, one uncle and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friend. He was proceeded in death by his father and his father’s brother, Willie James.

Glover’s Memorial Chapel served the Davis family.
