The outdoor “chapel” entrance was constructed by using antique doors of the groom’s great grandparents’ - the late Mr. and Mrs. David Plummer Coleman’s home. Six old windows, draped with smilax, were erected to create the front of the church.
The bride, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schachner III, was lovely in a vintage style lace gown. She was given in marriage by her parents and was escorted by her father down a burlap aisle. An old family quilt served as the altar area.
Sister of the bride, Mrs. Stephanie Schachner Campbell served as Matron of Honor. Maid of Honor was Ms. Christie Wallace. Bridesmaids included: Ms. Maribeth Coleman, sister of the groom, Miss Callie Ladd, Mrs. Jenni Sharpe, Miss Lacy Harsey, Miss Katie Reaves, Mrs. Jeannie Swindler, Mrs. Jessica Webb. Miss Hayley Campbell, niece of the bride, was Junior Bridesmaid.
The groom, the son of Mrs. Lou Ann Coleman-McLean and the late Mr. David Roe Coleman Sr., had his brother, Thomas Wade Coleman, as best man. Groomsmen were Ben Porter, Jim Wagers, Russell Parker, Joseph Schachner, Jae Burroughs, Jay Black, Austin Booth and Whitfield Howard. Masters Landyn and Clayton Campbell completed the wedding party.
Following the ceremony, an outdoor reception was held at the home of the late Mr. James Osborne Coleman, great uncle of the groom.
After a wedding trip to Amelia Island, Fla., the couple make their home in Greer, S.C.
