Pet owners even with good intentions sometimes lose their pet to the streets and the unthinkable happens. Well yesterday a driver hit a chocolate lab in the vicinity of Jackie's Package store and didn't stop. This saddens me that one; the owners didn't know their dog had escaped and are looking for them, two; the dog was abandoned, three; the driver left without checking the condition of the dog. Accidents happen, there were three dogs in the road when this happened, was this driver that careless or did he/she intentionally hit the dog?
