The Newberry College men’s tennis doubles team of Vinicius Botelho (Fortaleza, Brazil) and Michael Saunders (Christchurch, New Zealand) finished the season as the 10th ranked duo in the final Southeast Region rankings by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Botelho and Saunders are the only South Atlantic Conference pairing in the rankings and are the first Newberry duo to finish the season in the regional rankings.
The first team all-South Atlantic Conference duo went 16-7 overall at the No. 1 doubles flight, with a 7-2 conference record. They finished the season on a six-match winning streak and won seven of their last 10 matches.
