Fairfield Central High School provided an 8.5 Transition Kickoff Camp for all rising ninth grade students.
The camp was held July 9 and 10 at Fairfield Central High School.
It was designed to help rising ninth graders ease the daunting challenge of transitioning to high school.
Over 82 students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with Fairfield Central High School’s expectations before the first day of school.
Students participated in various sessions that were geared toward success.
They attended workshops on time management, effective communication skills, public speaking, study skills, team building, graduation requirements and toured the campus to help prepare them for the start of school.
The freshman academy faculty at Fairfield Central coordinated the event.
