Adoption center to host homecoming event

On Saturday, July 28 the Fairfield County Adoption Center will host a Homecoming Pet and Adoption Day from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All pets are invited and persons are encouraged to bring their adopted pets back to the Fairfield County Adoption Center for a homecoming visit.

Homecoming pet owners will qualify for door prizes.

Also, the event includes a rabies and vaccination clinic from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

All persons also are invited to set up spots for yard sale treasures. The set up fees benefit Hoof and Paw Benevolent Society and the set up begins at 7 a.m.

Concessions include grilled hot dogs with homemade chili, popcorn, snow cones, ice cold drinks and baked goods.

Music will be provided by Tim Boulware. The event also will include nail trimming and pet games.

There will be a dress yourself and your pet in the craziest hat contest.

The hat contest will be judged and prizes will be awarded.

Persons who adopt a pet from the Doggie Dugout and Cat Cottage during the event can register to win a door prize.
