Winnsboro Public Safety Chief Freddie Lorick announced that another of last week’s burglaries along Congress Street has been connected to a teenage suspect.

Tyrell Guinyard, 17, of 604 Hudson St., was arrested last week and charged with the July 7 burglary of the Speedee Wok.

During that investigation while police searched the suspect’s room, they turned up evidence that suggested he may have been involved in another break-in, however he denied it at that time.

On Monday, Chief Lorick said investigators made a connection between Guinyard and the alleged theft of laptop computers from a computer repair business located at 134 North Congress St.

Lorick said that a fan they found in the suspect’s room was what connected him to the burglary at 134 North Congress St.
