On July 18 Fairfield County Sheriff’s officers responded to a stabbing in the Great Falls area.
The victim in the case stated that his brother came over uninvited and started an argument as his home in the Pee Ridge Community of Fairfield County.
The victim said that he told his brother, Ronald Bernard Campbell, 44, of 76 Pedal Drive, Great Falls, that he was not welcome at the residence because his mother had placed him on trespass notice.
When he was told to leave, Ronald Campbell reportedly knocked his brother to the floor and began hitting him with his fist.
The victim kicked at his attacker and told responding officers that as he kicked at Campbell, Campbell stabbed him in the left leg with a pocket knife.
The suspect then walked away from the residence. He was located and arrested at the Country Supermarket that is near his residence on U.S. Highway 21 North near Great Falls.
Ronald Campbell was arrested and charged with assault and battery first degree.
His brother was treated at the Fairfield Memorial Hospital for his stab wound and then released.
Ronald Campbell is currently being detained in the Fairfield County Detention Center.
