Parents weary of entertaining children at home this summer may have Aug. 20 circled on their calendars for when children return to public school. There are a few more dates parents or guardians need to be aware of, however.

On Wednesday Fairfield Middle School is holding a walk through and pre-registration for rising seventh and eighth grade students from 8 to 11 a.m.

Thursday another walk through will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Geiger Elementary School holds its open house from 5-6:30 p.m. on Aug. 16.

A back to school event for faculty and staff will be held on Aug. 17 at Fairfield Central High School.

A back to school rally will be held on Aug. 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fairfield Central High School and Fairfield Central Middle School.

On Aug. 28 Fairfield Middle School hosts its seventh grade parent coffee time at 8:30 a.m.

Meanwhile, Gordon Odyssey Academy holds its open house from 4-6 p.m. on Aug. 29.

Kelly-Miller Elementary School holds its open house on Aug. 30 from 5-7 p.m., the same date and time that Fairfield Middle School is hosting its open house.

Also, the first Fairfield County School Board meeting will be Aug. 21 at 6 p.m. at Fairfield Elementary school. Please note the change in location and the new time for the board meeting.

Students at Richard Winn Academy return to school on Aug. 15.

Richard Winn holds its open house Monday from 5-6:45 p.m.
