The home of Eddie and Norma Branham is this week’s featured yard of the week.
The Branham’s have been married for 33 years and have made some major changes to the home that was once Norma Branham’s grandparents.
The latest change to the area has been the yard. Just four years ago it was just grass, but now with the help of Certified Nursery Professional Leah Witt there is so much more to see.
Norma has always had a love for the outdoors and now she has a yard to rave about.
The yard has a large variety of plants, flowers and trees that give it a relaxing feel.
Witt has taken her love for gardening and has really helped this yard shine.
Some of the plants growing in the yard are Bougainvillea, Crepe Myrtle trees, apple trees, pear tree, Amur Maple tree, Sedum Autum Joy, Gaura and Woodbine, just to name a few.
The brightly colored Dynamite Crape Myrtle and the Gaura, or butterfly, plant are both eye catchers in the yard.
In the front yard, a special tree that has been there for many years is the long needle pine, which was bought and planted by Norma’s grandfather.
This beautiful yard just keeps on giving.
In October, Witt will take samples from some of the plants from this yard to a sale at the Fall Festival at Church of the Nazarene.
Congratulations to Eddie and Norma Branham, this week’s yard of the week winners.
