The Fairfield County Court House will be closing for air conditioning repairs Friday.
Several weeks ago the air conditioning at the courthouse malfunctioned.
According to County Administrator Phil Hinley, staff was able to scramble around and get it in working order; however it needs a part.
It will take three days to replace the old part, install and test the replacement part.
Because it takes three days to repair and to have minimal disruption to the courthouse activities, the courthouse will be closed this Friday and will reopen with a repaired air conditioning unit on Monday, Aug. 20.
Hinely said that all affected employees will be given the proper leave to accommodate the repairs.
