The Fairfield County Voter Registration and Elections office has certified the petitions of the nonpartisan candidates to appear on the ballot in November.
In preparation for the upcoming election there are a few things that voters should keep in mind to make their voting process easier.
Voters should be mindful that they can vote using their voter registration card or drivers license.
If you have missed place your voter registration card, have moved, or need to make correction visit the Fairfield County Voter Registration office.
The deadline for registering for the Nov. 6 election is Oct. 6, the local office will be open from 9 a.m.-noon on this day.
Director of the election office Debby L. Stidham said, “I am looking forward to a smooth election, and hope there is an increase in voter turn out. I encourage every voter to check their voter registration information and confirm everything is in order before the election day.”
