Richard Winn Academy Eagle cheerleaders will be flying high this fall, literally.

The experienced squad has a high level of expertise in stunts, something that impressed their coach Danielle Little.

Five girls are returning to the squad this year. The returnees are captain Blake Little, co-captain Anna Grey Walters, Sarah Coleman, Chrissy Caudill and Chloe Dawkins.

Little has been cheering since she was 2-years-old. She has around 15 years experience to draw upon as she leads the squad.

Three of them have been cheering for six years at Richard Winn. The other two returners have three years of Richard Winn cheerleading experience.

Once again this year the squad will not be going to competitions due to its small size. Little said that they only have an eight person squad whereas most schools have a minimum of twelve cheerleaders on up to 24 person squads.

The girls will cheer at games and at pep rallies. What they lack in quantity, they make up for in quality.

“We have had an amazing year so far with the three All-Americans and the girls who were chosen to go to New York and cheer,” said Little.
