The Fairfield Central Lady Griffins dropped their most recent contest against Lower Richland. The varsity girls team lost 3-1. They recovered from an opening match defeat by a 25-22 score and won the second match 22-25.
That 1-1 tie was as close as the girls would come to defeating the Lady Diamond Hornets who won the next two matches 25-9 and 25-14 to defeat the Griffins.
The Griffins played Orangeburg Wilkerson yesterday at 7 p.m. in an away match. That score was too late for this edition of The Herald.
