FAIRFIELD COUNTY — On Oct. 17 the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Department began an in-depth search for two teens who were last seen in Charlotte late Friday night or early Saturday morning on Oct.13.
Jake Ziegler, 18, of Sherrills Ford, N.C. is 5’10” and weighs 135 lbs. He has blue eyes.
Also from Sherrills Ford is Raymond Pierce,17, who is 6’1” and weighs 165 lbs. Pierce has brown eyes.
The pair was traveling in a green 2006 Pontiac G6 with North Carolina license plate number BDD-8844.
A search of the teen’s phone records revealed their last known communication to have been at exit 48 off I-77.
That area is near the Fairfield County line.
Deputies started aerial searches with helicopters on Oct. 16 and a more involved search using multiple officers and all terrain vehicles is currently underway.
Searches are centering right now on areas off the side of the road on the theory that the care they were traveling in could have wrecked in the area, however captian Brad Douglas with the Fairfield County Sheriff’s department said that approach was pure speculation and just one of several scenarios law enforcement and searchers are considering at this point.
